Service Development

As a Service we pride ourselves on keeping up to date with the latest equipment and developments within the world of wheelchairs and seating. We regularly organise meetings with representatives from local, national and international manufacturers, so that new products can be demonstrated and reviewed. (British Healthcare Trades Association)

The team also networks regionally, attending meetings with other wheelchair services across Yorkshire, and we receive input from the National Wheelchair Managers Forum and the recently concluded Wheelchair Collaborative.

Clinical Staff are responsible for maintaining their C.P.D (continuing professional development), and meet together every 6-8 weeks to share and progress their learning. All our clinical staff are members of P.M.G (posture and mobility group), as well as their statutory registration with the Health Professions council (H.P.C).

As a Service we welcome user feedback and comments. We are always interested to hear about your experiences, and we are hoping to set up a Wheelchair User Group in the Future.
